A short definition of data recovery:

„Data recovery is the process of restoring temporarily inaccessible data from any storage medium.“

It therefore includes all processes that are necessary to reconstruct functional and usable data. Regardless of whether the data loss was caused by a logical or physical defect in the data carrier. Data recovery is not only possible in the case of deleted data or damaged data structures, but also in the case of mechanically and physically defective storage media that can no longer be accessed in the worst-case scenario.

Depending on the diagnosed damage, the type of data carrier and the type of data to be restored, the processes are individually adapted.

In our data recovery measures, we use techniques from the areas of precision mechanics, electronics and programming, among others. Our clean room laboratory enables the hard drives to be opened in a particle-free environment. It meets the ISO 5 Class 100 standard, which means that 3,531 particles per m3 are permitted. It therefore corresponds to purity class A according to the EC-GMP guidelines and meets particularly high purity requirements. It is also equipped with special optical aids such as stereo microscopes, measurement technology and precision tools, some of which were specially made.

We also have a large inventory of hard drives that can be used if spare parts are needed. Data recovery always involves creating a physical copy of the disk. We have hardware and software modified systems that allow us to randomly read sectors or influence the reading speed.

In the area of data recovery from flash storage media (SSD, memory cards, USB sticks, smartphones, tablets), we also have special tools, innovative methods, as well as unique hardware and software systems and tools that allow us to do a chip-off or direct reading of the memory chip.

To prepare logical structures, including the original directory file structures and the functional restoration of individual file formats, we use not only high-quality branded software, some from the field of computer forensics, but also self-developed hardware and software solutions and programmed applications.

The success of data recovery always depends on many factors: on the one hand, on the technical means available, and on the other hand, on the experience and knowledge of the individual components, specific functions of the different data carriers and the operating and file systems.

Our highly qualified and experienced data recovery engineers demonstrate their skills every day in our laboratories, where a steady hand is just as crucial as the appropriate know-how. The interdisciplinary lineup from the areas of computer/electrical engineering and IT offers a wide range of possible solutions for the multitude of damage patterns that lead to data loss.

The education acquired at the famous ELTE University and decades of practice are the trump card and decisive factor through which our engineers are able to carry out data recovery with the best possible results and often save data where others have already failed.
