Analyzing your data carrier is always the first step in data recovery.
We examine your storage medium for damage with regard to the effort required for data recovery. On this basis we create an analysis report. This contains a detailed description of the error, our forecast with the expected processing time and our fixed price offer. You decide whether to commission us to recover your data.
The data recovery costs always depend on the total capacity of the original data carrier, the damage pattern, the hours of work invested, and the technology used (dust-proof clean room laboratory, technical equipment + several decades of experience and knowledge of our engineers).
During the diagnosis, our engineers look at the error pattern (logical or physical) and calculate the effort/price individually, depending on the data recovery case.
The data recovery is also usually offered on a success basis.

These details are working days, calculated from the day following receipt of the data medium. ³ For hard drives that have already been opened / water and fire damage, we charge an additional charge of € 50 including VAT for the analysis.
If the data recovery is successful, the analysis costs won’t be charged.
Additional costs may arise in the form of replacement parts or target media. The target data carrier and also an exactly identical replacement data carrier/donor (with identical model number) can be provided by the customer.
Detailed information about the exact data recovery costs in the event of success or failure, including spare parts and target data media, will be provided and sended via Email in our analysis report.
Optional costs:
Collection of the data carrier: by FedEx from € 25.00 domestically / from € 47.60 from abroad, including VAT.
Sending a franked DHL label: from € 15.00 domestically, including VAT.
If the data recovery is successful, this amount won’t be charged.
Additional costs:
Return shipping costs for the original data carrier: from € 15.00 domestically / from € 47.60 abroad, including VAT.
Destruction costs of the original data carrier: per data carrier from € 35.00 including VAT (corresponding to protection class 2)

Use our express service if particularly time-critical data is involved. After analyzing the data carrier, we will provide you an individual fixed price offer for data recovery (based on the damage pattern) as well as the expected time and effort required. With the express service, your data recovery is always treated as a priority.
If you have already confirmed that you will cover the expected costs when you registered, the data recovery (if possible) will begin already during the analysis.

- Spare part (e.g. new read/write unit if required)

* within 2-3 working days of receipt, analysis costs: € 110.- including VAT for individual hard drives, other data carriers according to the price list or on request. We will inform you of the final data recovery costs in the analysis report.
