KUERT can help here too – but there are special features!

Tablets, Convertibles

Smartphones and tablets have served as two of the most used storage media since the 2010s at the latest. With the rapidly increasing storage capacity of devices, not only does the amount of data stored (including those of greater importance) increase, but there is also a risk of neglecting your backups a little more…

Due to constant use in a wide variety of everyday situations, data rescuers are confronted not only with typical damage, for example due to material weaknesses, but also with rarer, sometimes strange damage.

Now it is time for a professional data recovery laboratory to develop specific solutions for the most diverse types and extents of damage. In addition to the defect itself, many other factors also play a role here, for example possible special features of the individual manufacturers, but also those of the now countless individual models that come onto the market every year.

CD / DVD

In the early 2000s, CDs and DVDs were at their peak. Since then, these optical storage media have been used increasingly less, which is mainly due to the rapidly increasing storage capacities of flash storage media (such as USB sticks, memory cards, SSDs, etc.). Nevertheless, there are still many valuable treasures on CDs and DVDs today that have not always been saved on other data carriers in a timely manner. Be it private recordings, such as wedding videos or vacation photos, larger music collections or entire backups of various files and documents from days gone by.

Optical storage media are particularly susceptible to scratches on the surfaces – and these are not always visible obviously. As with any other storage medium, high temperature can also pose a danger to the stored data on discs. Any type of physical damage can result in access errors and data loss.

We examine your CDs and DVDs and save what can be saved. Don’t hesitate to ask us.

Tapes

Due to their longevity, the low risk of failure when stored correctly and, above all, the low total cost of ownership compared to modern storage media, magnetic tapes can still be found today.

However, errors in data organization can prevent access, as physical damage to the tapes. This can be caused by environmental influences, such as fire or water damage, as well as improper storage, which can cause tapes to stick or be damaged by heat and moisture

In addition to the necessary technical equipment, data recovery from tapes also requires broad and specific knowledge of the individual tape formats as well as experience in extracting files from the archive and converting them.

Floppy Disk

Due to their very small storage capacity, floppy disks, also known as floppies, are rarely found today. The purposes of use are very specific these days, be it for controlling machines or for archiving or physically forwarding files with small storage volumes.

Symptoms of severe damage can include reading errors, unusual noises, or simply inability to access the data. In these cases, it is important to avoid further read access and remove the diskette from the drive immediately.

Contacting a professional data recovery laboratory in a timely manner can be crucial. We will examine your disk with regard to our data recovery options.
